This month, we're happy to highlight one of our new members, Sama Dermatology, as our Member Spotlight!
A few words from Dr. Sacharitha Bowers of Sama Dermatology: "I have been in practice for almost 17 years. A year and a half ago, I left academic medicine after working in it for 10 years. I started Sama Dermatology to deliver dermatology care differently and on my own terms, without the barriers of insurance and institutional benchmarks that take physician autonomy away."
How long have you been in business?
I just launched Sama Dermatology PLLC this month!
What are your key products/services?
I am a board-certified dermatologist offering 100% virtual (meaning fully online) medical dermatology care, through a direct pay (cash pay) model.
How do you hope the chamber will help your business grow?
I hope the chamber will help to spread the word about the practice as well as provide supportive resources in growing my business, network and learn from other local businesses, and offer opportunities for engagement with my local community.
Outside of your business, how do you enjoy spending your time?
I have two girls, ages 10 and 13, and a dog who is now 2 years old. My husband and I love just being at home with the kids and dog, taking walks, exploring Chicago, cooking together, dreaming up our travel adventures, listening to music, and visiting with family and friends.
