JANUARY MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
How long have you been in business?
We, Miriam Gardner-Ryan, Vice President and Co-founder, and I, President and Co-founder, established our rescue on July 1, 2020. We rescued our first dog in February, 2021 and had our first adoption in March, 2021.
What are your key products/services?
We rescue senior dogs seven years and older. Senior dogs tend to be overlooked and most people don't want to rescue "old" dogs. We bring them in, get them medically up to date on everything, and we even do extra medical procedures (like spay/neuter and dental) to make them even more appealing to prospective adopters. To date, we have adopted out over 150 dogs!
How do you hope the Chamber will help your business grow?
I hope that by engaging with Chamber membership, I will become more integrated into the La Grange Park community, both personally and professionally. As such, I hope that members will support our work, as well as share any ideas they might have for promoting the rescue.
Outside of your business, how do you enjoy spending your time?
Good question! I write and perform at storytelling events in the Chicagoland area, like the Moth. Other than that, I like movies.
