DECEMBER MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Our next member spotlight is Community Assisted Rides, a wonderful local non-profit!

How long have you been in business?

Community Assisted Rides has been proudly serving our community since 2000, helping older neighbors stay connected and independent through reliable, affordable transportation. Over the years, we’ve grown through the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our community partners, all united by the belief that everyone deserves access to safe and caring rides.

What are your key products/services?

Our main service is providing volunteer-based transportation for older neighbors who may not have access to regular transportation. Whether it’s getting to a doctor’s appointment, picking up groceries, or attending a community event, we make sure our Very Important Passengers (VIPs) can travel with comfort, dignity, and a friendly face behind the wheel.

How do you hope the Chamber will help your organization grow?

We’re excited to be part of the La Grange Park Chamber of Commerce because we see it as a wonderful opportunity to share our mission more widely, build new partnerships, and connect with local businesses and leaders who care about community well-being. Through the Chamber, we hope to recruit more volunteers, reach more VIPs, and strengthen the network of support that keeps our community moving forward. As a non-profit, we rely on a combination of grants, donations, sponsorships, and fundraising events to keep our services running. We’re always seeking creative ways to connect with individuals and organizations who share our vision of a more accessible, compassionate community. Every contribution—whether time, funding, or advocacy—helps us make a real difference in people’s lives.
