November 2025 Recap
Robinhood Park's Ribbon Cutting
Wednesday, November 19th — Robinhood Park's new playground is being recognized as a National Demonstration Site by PlayCore for its impact on community health and well-being.
This project wouldn’t have been possible without our Superintendent of Parks, Sara Earhart, who secured funding through Playcore and the Illinois Park and Recreation Association and Kids Around the World, who carefully removed the old equipment to repair and bring joy to children in underprivileged communities abroad.
The park encourages inclusive play, physical activity, and skill development through features like climbing, spinning, sliding, swinging, balancing, and brachiating. We’re still looking to improve the park with a nature play area, courts, and updated pathways.
We invite you to share your experience—when you visit the park scan the QR code on the National Demonstration Site Recognition Signage and help us show how Robinhood Park supports fitness, fun, and community for all.
