August Recaps and Reminders
We had three new members join us in August, Jim Donahue - State Farm, Ahimsa Yoga Studio, and Western & Southern Life. Welcome to the Chamber! There's a lot happening this month. To kick it off, here are few fun events our members are hosting this month. Don't forget, the Village will be burying a time capsule on Friday, September 15th at 3pm in front of Village Hall. If you didn't get a chance to submit something to put in it, do not worry. It is not too late for a business to participate in the time capsule project! The anniversary committee is looking for business cards or current ads of La Grange Park businesses to include. If you have one of these two types of items, please contact Deanne at dcurelo@lagrangepark.org. Submissions must be made by Friday, September 8th. Please note if you wish to submit another type of memento, please contact Deanne, but be aware some items may not be included due to the size of the time capsule. Second, time is running out to participate in the La Grange Park Art Project. Currently the Village is inviting past and current residents to purchase a tile to commemorate their families. Why not purchase a tile for your work family? This is a great way to celebrate your business and your employees at the same time by taking a picture of your staff in front of your business sign and submitting it to be added to a tile. Any questions may be directed to Deanne at dcurelo@lagrangepark.org. The deadline to submit is Saturday, September 30th. The Village would also appreciate if you could promote this project by passing this flyer to your patrons and fellow business associates. Lastly, our monthly meeting will be on Thursday, September 28. Hope to see you there!

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Active Souls
Sally Nauss
Active Souls is a Full-Service Boutique Fitness Center for Women. With just one membership price you have access to cardio and strength equipment, Group Fitness Classes (over 40 per week!), Personal Training, Small Group Training, Private Pilates Instruction, and a Spa featuring massages and facials.
Active Souls took over Oasis Women's Fitness and Spa and has been in the community since 2002. Active Souls was highlighted in the Spring 2017 Suburban Life Magazine as one of the "Best of the West" Fitness Centers. Active Souls has been a part of the Chamber since 2012. The Chamber is a great place to meet other business owners, to find out more about their businesses, and learn ways businesses can help each other grow. One way they've stayed involved is by sponsoring events. For example, they sponsored the Run for the Roses this year and the amount of support from the business owners and the Village of La Grange Park was overwhelming.
In addition to running Active Souls, Sally is an avid runner and triathlete. Her book, "Vegan at McDonalds," should be finished in the next year with a chapter being published in the Spring of 2018. She is passionate about health and fitness as well as helping you live your life with more energy and health to do the things you love.
Active Souls is having an Open House on Saturday, September 16. There will be new member specials, class previews, raffles, chair massages, vendors, and more. For any women wanting to fit into that little black dress for the holidays, they are running a 6-week Little Black Dress Project beginning Monday, September 18. Participants receive a Success Manual, Meal Plans, Recipes, Daily Motivational E-mails, and more.
You can visit Sally at Active Souls at 355 N. La Grange Rd., La Grange Park, IL 60526
