La Grange Park Little League as well as other benefactors will host a ribbon cutting event to celebrate the recent completed field upgrades.
La Grange Park Little League recently completed a major renovation fo teh Hanesworth North baseball field. Work was completed over the offseason to replace the existing wood dugouts with new masonry dugouts, construct a masonry wall backstop, and to completely equip both dugouts with top of the line accessories.
The Hanesworth renovation project, which was supported by the Community Park District of La Grange Park, and funded through generous grants received from the Chicago Cubs Diamond Project and the Little League International Grow the Game project, was led by longtime La Grange Park Little League Board Member Ralph White, in partnership with the Chicago Cubs Charities.
"Cubs Charities is proud to partner with La Grange Park Little League to support dugout upgrades at Hanesworth North", said Keri Blackwell, Assistant Director, Community Affairs & Cubs Charities. "Through the Diamond Projects, we aim to engage kids with skilled coaches, quality programming and to provide safe and accessible places to play the game.
